Here be the rundown of piratey occurrences for our illustrious October parlay!

The shenanigans will begin on Friday 14th October in the Pirates Keep at the brilliant The Belvedere on Boot Hill. Pirates will gather up their scallywag crews to compete to be this year’s winners of the infamous Dolmen Pirate Quiz. New crews up to the challenge always welcome! The battle begins at 8.30pm, hosted by the notorious pirate Rotten Ren.

On Saturday 15th, pirates will muster at 10.30am, bottom of Boot Hill (DT4 8TA) to the spirited sounds of pirate band The Boarding Crew, and at 11am these motley gang of miscreants will begin a colourful parade of the town, lead by The Dolmen and their troupe of earth-movin' drummers. Anyone is very welcome to join in.

All this heralds a fantastic day of piratey fun, with live music on the main stage from both local and international bands including The Dolmen, Perkelt, The Shakespearos, Celtic Giants, Connach, The Boarding Crew, and The Sensational Infernals, with more to be confirmed.

There will also be a Pirate Bazaar and amazing re-enactment performances from members of the pirate community throughout the day and into the evening.

From 11pm festivities will continue at The Belvedere till the small hours, with acoustic performances and much jollity!

On Sunday 16th, the wonderful Landlady Lyn and her lovely staff at The Belvedere Inn will be dishing up hearty breakfasts for sore heads from 10am till 12 noon, and from 1pm there will be the traditional Survivors Party, with more live music and quantities of hair of the dog!

With many thanks to our wonderful sponsors for making all this possible: We Are Weymouth UK, The Boot Inn, Fantastic Sausage Factory, Belle's Bakers, Tattoo Morningstar, The Belvedere, Sherrens the Printers, West Dorset Aquatics, Gazzini Hair & Design, Gazzini’s Coffee & Pizza, Precision Engraving and The Duke of Albany

We welcome everyone and anyone to come along and get piratey at this free to attend event!

Just beware the blaggard Rotten Ren!
